Sal Cawley of Walks for Women is taking a sabbatical during this time.
Thank you to all the wonderful women who have walked with us since we set up in 2010. It has been a fantastic 3 years.
Information about when walks and new courses will be restarting will be posted on this website.
Jackie Jackson
Sal would also like to pay tribute to Jackie Jackson, her close friend and Walks for Women colleague, who tragically died in a climbing accident in Borrowdale on May 2nd 2013.
Jackie and Sal created our successful Navigation Courses, together training dozens of clients, supporting women to develop the confidence and skills to be safe on the fells.
Jackie had the biggest heart and was a much loved friend to so many, a wonderful wife, mum and grandma, a passionate mountaineer who lived for the outdoors and the hills and a truly inspirational woman.
We will miss her and we will remember her in the mountains.
Jackie Jackson
She is MLTE trained (assessment pending) and has an Outdoor First Aid qualification.
